Alisyn Camerota Steps Up to Expand Experiential Learning Opportunities at SOC

American University School of Communication (AU SOC) alumna Alisyn Camerota has given SOC a generous gift to support experiential learning. Camerota (SOC/BA ‘88) and has stayed involved as a dedicated alumna. She is a two-time Emmy award winner, author, and advisor to multiple non-profits.

Camerota’s gift will support access to SOC’s myriad experiential learning programs for students across the school. These programs include everything from internships to courses that deliver professional networking and portfolio-building opportunities to study abroad. There are also unique programs, designed and led by SOC faculty, such as the L.A. and NYC Career Intensives, the Investigative Reporting Workshop, Classroom in the Wild, and Discover the World of Communication, among others.
